BlueTooth drops when screen goes to sleep

My paired BlueTooth devices consistently drop the connection to my Atom whenever the screen sleeps.  If I increase the sleep interval, the connection lasts longer, but that does not help when I depend on those devices to be active.  I have a smart watch (Samsung Gear S2 Classic) and a pair of Under Armour workout shoes connected.

I have the same problem.

My daughter uses a diabetes sensor with the phone, and it too drops the connection when the screen sleeps.

I have the same problem. We want to use the Atom as a uploader of bloodsuger readings so we as parents can monitor our sons diabetes. Cant do that due to the auto-lock.

My sun uses a diabetes sensor Dexcom 5 + insulin pump with the phone, and if use it with WIFI all is ok but with mobile data bluetooth drops the connection with sensor when the screen sleeps. Do you know if it is any android problem or Atom has same special block

thank you Jakub (CZ)

I use a Sena 3S bluetooth headset & intercom for motorbike helmets with my Atom with no problem for several hours in a row. So I guess the problem is related to the type of bluetooth connection used by the device.

There is a specific process to enable services:  the example below is for a Gshock  service.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Smart Assist> Power save manager> add G shock Connect to whitelist Removed from Battery Optimization Smart Assist> Network manager> added G-SHOCK Connect for both mobile and WiFi.

I tried to run my Fitbit service and not matter what it will temporarily connect but lose connectivity.

I also ran my samsung service (Gear) and it does work following the above steps for the services.

I was not able to run both fitbit service and samsung.  The Atom shuts it down.

Thanks

Manny
