JellyPro not recognized when connected to iMac

This is related to my question about downloading music.  When I plug my JellyPro into my iMac, it charges, but no icon shows up on the desktop (as it does when I connect my camera or iPad, for example).  I think if I could see it, I could do back-ups, load music, etc.  Any suggestions?
